Wild Cards are powerful tools that don’t belong to any suit and can be used to disrupt, protect, or enhance gameplay. Each Wild Card has a unique effect that influences the game in a significant way:
1.Hurricane:
Hurricane cards create chaos by forcing an opponent to discard an entire set. This can be devastating, especially if the opponent has a high-scoring set.
Example: Use Hurricane on an opponent’s Dancehall set that hasn’t been protected with a Dubplate card, causing them to lose the entire set.
2. Earthquake:
Earthquake forces an opponent to discard their entire hand and replenish from the draw pile. This can be devastating to your opponent, especially if they were accumulating cards to make a set.
Example: Use Earthquake when your opponent hasn’t made a set in a while, they are likely building up in hand.
3. Bruk Out:
Bruk Out cards can unlock locked sets. This can be applied to both your own locked sets or your opponent’s.
Example: If your set is locked with a Melody card and you need to add more base cards, use Bruk Out to unlock the set to continue building. However, please note that your turn ends immediately after you unlock your set. You will have to wait until your next turn to add to your set.
4. Thunderstorm:
Thunderstorm allows you to steal a card from your opponent’s set. The card is added to your hand where you can use it, discard it, or play something else.
Example: Use Thunderstorm to steal a key card needed for your own set, or just to devalue your opponent’s set.
5. Fisherman:
The Fisherman Wild Card allows you to pick up a Special Card from the discard pile which would normally not be allowed. It is a great way to claim a Special card or Wild Card that was used and/or discarded by the previous player.
Example: Use Fisherman to retrieve a Dubmaster or Tourist card from the discard pile and complete your set. You can also possibly retrieve a Wild Card that was used against you to serve up your revenge!
